Marquis Los Cabos Dufour “Chef Thierry won the prestigious” San Pascual “for lifetime achievement and contribution to Mexican cuisine

Chef Maître Cuisinier de France and Vatel Club de Mexico, President for more than 10 years, Thierry Dufour was one of three chefs in Mexico recently awarded the prestigious 2009 “San Pascual” for Lifetime Achievement and contribution to the cuisine of Mexico. The “San Pascual” was created as a tribute to Mexico exemplary chefs of the restaurants in the area of Excel and its devotion to the study of cooking hospitality. A commemorative bronze plaque with the names of the chief Dufour was also engraved on the esplanade of Fame (Hall of Fame) for the cooks, the addition of the bronze sculpture of St. Pascual Bailon (the patron saint of cooks is added to Mexicans), created by the famous Mexican Ramiz Barquet sculpture on the Malecon in downtown Puerto Vallarta. The award was presented by the American Academy of Hospitality Sciences on visas and International Gourmet Festival 17th November presented at the festival, in its 15th Year in Puerto Vallarta and Riviera Nayarit, Mexico instead.
